What the GI protects

The registration recognises Karimnagar Silver Filigree as a craft associated with its documented place and practice. It does not make every silver object, seller or product automatically authentic.

Where an authorised-user or GI claim applies to a specific piece, it is published only after supporting documentation has been checked.

Product facts

Material, total weight, silver weight, fineness, maker attribution and place of craft are controlled independently in the catalog. A claim appears publicly only when its verification record is complete; unknown details are omitted rather than guessed.

Certificates

Where a serialized piece has a certificate, its number is tied to that individual inventory unit. Certificate availability is stated on the product page rather than implied across the collection.
